The slopes on Monte Baranci – and with them, night skiing twice a week – are just a short walk from both houses.
The Monte Baranci ski area is just 300 meters from the house and best reached on foot. With the ski bus stop just 100 metres away, you can easily access the Monte Baranci and Tre Cime di Lavaredo ski areas. Even quicker is the ski train, just 300 metres from the apartments at San Candido station, taking you to the Tre Cime di Lavaredo and Plan de Corones ski areas. For your convenience, the house offers a ski depot and drying facilities for ski boots.
From the Huterhof, the ski bus – stopping 300 metres away – takes you to the surrounding ski areas. The Monte Baranci ski area is very close by, allowing for relaxed ski days. A practical ski depot and boot dryer are also available at the Huterhof. Whether you’re enjoying the gentle slopes of Monte Baranci or tackling the spectacular descents of the Tre Cime di Lavaredo and Plan de Corones – every ski day is a memorable experience!
Just 300 metres from both houses, you’ll find the entrance to the cross-country trail network: your gateway to an extensive system of tracks, winding through breathtaking winter scenery. Particularly rewarding are the trails in the Val Fiscalina and the circular routes around Prato Piazza.
Tobogganing is as much a part of winter as snow itself. Right next to the Monte Baranci lift (300 m away, an exhilarating toboggan run awaits, even open twice a week for night sledding. For the more adventurous, the Croda Rossa run offers one of the longest descents in the region, with 8 kilometres of downhill excitement. Those seeking a quieter ride will find runs without lifts, such as at the Rifugio Tre Scarperi or the Malga di Tesido. In some places, you can even catch a lift on a snowmobile taxi – for example, to the Rifugio Auronzo or Monte Piana.
